When they asked, he gave them bread of heaven
in plenty. (Psalm 105 v 40)
Prayer of
Adoration, Confession & Forgiveness, & Collect
God of life and love,
your Son made himself known to his disciples
in the breaking of bread.
Open the eyes of our faith,
that we may see him in his redeeming work,
who is alive and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit
one God, now and for ever, Amen

Hymn 30 (Psalm 40) t. Ballerma
I waited for the Lord my God,
and patiently did bear;
at length to me he did incline
my voice and cry to hear.
He put a new song in my mouth,
our God to magnify;
many shall see it, and shall fear
and on the Lord rely.
O blessed are all they whose trust
upon the Lord relies;
respecting not the proud, nor such
as turn aside to lies.
Reading: Luke 24 v 28-35 Breaking bread
Address
Prayer of
Thanksgiving & Intercession & Lord’s Prayer
Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be
thy name;
thy Kingdom
come;
thy will be
done;
on earth as
it is in heaven.
Give us this
day our daily bread.
And forgive
us our debts
as we
forgive our debtors.
And lead us
not into temptation;
but deliver
us from evil.
For thine is
the Kingdom,
the power,
and the glory,
for ever.
Amen.
Hymn 52 (Psalm 84) How lovely is thy dwelling place
How lovely is thy dwelling place,
O Lord of hosts, to me!
The tabernacles of thy grace,
how pleasant Lord, they be!
Behold, the sparrow findeth out
an house wherein to rest;
the swallow also for herself
hath found her place to nest.
Blest are they in thy house who dwell,
they ever give thee praise.
And blest are they whose strength thou art,
in whose heart are thy ways.
Benediction
