Intimations


1.         Baptism:  18th November we welcome Sarah Sheila and Campbell Neil MacLeod, twin babies of Sandy MacLeod and Kristeen Horne and brother and sister to Faith.  God’s blessing on these two infants and their family and friends.

2.         Gaelic Service (Communion): on 25th November (Sunday)  at 3.00pm will include a celebration of Rev. Dr. Roddy MacLeod as he retires from conducting our monthly worship.  The Very Rev. Angus Morrison will lead worship and there will be tea and coffee afterwards. Contributions to be in by 19th November.

3.         Guild Rally: 24th November (Saturday) at 2.00pm.  Guest speaker is Lorraine MacCormack from Hope Kitchen.  It would be appreciated if members could come early to set up the main hall for the meeting.

4.         Readers’ Rota: we are looking for additional readers for Parish Sunday service.  Should you wish to join the team please inform the Church office or speak to the ministers.

5.         Advent Calendar:  there is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church if anyone would like to buy an advent calendar.  They are £3.99 each.

6.         Hand Bells and Carols:  8th December (Saturday) at 3.00pm in Parish Church.  Muckairn Ringers,  Church Choir and Oban Gaelic Choir.  Donations in aid of Carr Gorm.

7.         Family Faithshare: 25th November (Sunday)

8.         Poppy Appeal Scotland: Total raised from retiring collection £199.84.

1.      Retiring Offering on 11th November service after worship for the Earl Haig Poppy Appeal.


2.      Rev Chris is on OLM (Presbytery) duty on 11th November at Carradale.


3.      18th Novemberext  we celebrate the Guild Dedication service and the Sacrament of Baptism.


4.      Gaelic Service (Communion) on 25th November (Sunday)  3.00pm will include a celebration of Rev Dr Roddy MacLeod as he retires from conducting our monthly worship. The Very Rev Angus Morrison will lead worship, and there will be tea and coffee afterwards. Contributions towards Rev Dr Roddy’s Centre office by  18th  Nov.


5.      The Guild: The annual dedication service will take place on 18th November (Sunday)  at the morning Service when it is hoped as many members as possible can attend and as is tradition if members could sit together in the centre pews. As our guest speaker at our Annual Rally is from Hope Kitchen it would be appreciated if members could contribute suitable food items in order that we can donate goods to Lorraine at our meeting.

8.    Big Quiz Night:  is on 17th November (Saturday) at 7.00pm in the Corran Halls – hundreds of churches 
       across the country, thousands of people – one big quiz in aid of the Tearfund.

       Tickets are £5 and are available from Mary (564472) or Helen (563232).


9.    Winter Praise:  in St. John’s Catherdral, 19th November (Monday)  Hot food served at 6.30pm, music 
        from 7.30pm

1. Gaelic Service (Communion) on 25th November (Sunday) 3:00 pm will include a celebration off Rev Dr Roddy MacLeod as he retires from conducting our monthly worship. The very Rev Angus Morrison will lead worship, and there will be tea and coffee afterwards. Contribution towards Rev Dr Roddy's retirement gift should be handed into the Church Centre office by 18th November.


2.   Calling all Guild Members : Please can you bring donations of food for New Hope, whose work we’ll be hearing about at the rally on 24th November.   Many thanks
